Margarets Tubal Reversal Operation

Excerpt from Video Transcript »

Dr. Berger: So tell me what made you decide to have your tubes untied at this time.

Margaret: Well, I have three children. And Steven doesn't have any and we just got married so. And we want to have one for him. And I wanted to have another one anyway so. We'll have four.

Dr. Berger: All right, what we'll do next is we'll have Laura walk you downstairs. And then you'll be meeting with the tubal reversal nurses and then when your surgery is over I'll give you a chance to wake up and then I will come in and go over everything with you.

Margaret: Okay, I appreciate it. Thank you very much.

Dr. Berger to Tubal Reversal Nurses: Hello, how is Margaret doing?

Tubal Reversal Nurses: She is doing well. She is out there.

Dr. Berger: Hey there, how are you doing?

Margaret: Good.

Dr. Berger: Let me just pull up a chair and I will sit and talk with you. So you look pretty comfortable.

Margaret: Yes

Dr. Berger: That is good it's a good sign. And I think it will pretty well predict how your tubal reversal surgery recovery should go. Now of course you still have some local anesthetic and if that should wear off and you become uncomfortable we will give you some pain medication to take with you. The fact that you are up and moving this early is a good sign. Your color is good and your surgery went well. Everything points to a good outcome. Your tubal lengths after the repair came out as 4.5” on your right and 5.0” on your left and that is quite adequate and that is the about average that we see.
