A reduced fee option and pre-payment account option make the outpatient procedure affordable and available to women interested in having children after a previous tubal ligation.

"The standard rate for tubal reversal by Dr. Berger is $6900. The reduced rate is $5900 if you pay in full within 24 hours of selecting the surgery date. The comparable rates for tubal ligation reversal by Dr. Monteith are $6600 for the standard fee and $5600 for the reduced fee. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, bank-to-bank wire transfer, money order, and cashier's checks - no personal checks. Patients submitting payment via credit and debit cards will be subject to an additional $100 processing fee."

"The tubal reversal surgery fee is all-inclusive and includes your operative report review, your consultation, the anesthesiology fees, the surgical center fees, and the professional fee for Dr. Berger or Dr. Monteith. The only costs not included are preoperative testing, hotel, travel, and food.

We require our patients to stay at the Residence Inn in Chapel Hill. That is the only hotel where our nurses do the post op rounds the morning after surgery, and this hotel also offers a reduced rate to our patients.

We do not participate with any insurance companies. We do not accept payments from insurance companies, but we will provide you with a receipt of payment so that you may submit it to your insurance company along with whatever requested claim forms they have in order to file for possible reimbursement.

$250 is the minimum payment required to open a pre-payment account. Once you have the $250 in your account you may begin making payments in amounts as little as $10. There's no time frame on the pre-payment account, but once you have the $5900 or $5600 in the account you can select your surgery date.

If a patient cancels and is due a refund, she should be aware that the refund process takes 30 days from the date the refund was requested. Cancellations that occur 8-21 days within the surgery date will result in a 25% cancellation fee. If you cancel outside of a 21 day period from the surgery date, our office will retain only the $250 non refundable administrative fee and the $100 non refundable scheduling fee."
